Unfortunately it is not possible to upgrade from CentovaCast to BoomBox and it’s not because we want to make it difficult for customers to make the switch…

CentovaCast does things in the ‘backend’ much differently than BoomBox does which makes it difficult to export settings and files from CentovaCast into BoomBox. In addition, unlike BoomBox, IP-Addresses and ports are not portable in CentovaCast which means that neither can be ported over. Finally, the software itself is a bit of a ‘black box’ for our development team and although, we’re confident we could build a migration tool, we just haven’t had a chance to do so yet.

So… How can I make the switch?

If you are an existing SoniXCast CentovaCast customer, login to your account (https://cp.sonixcast.com/), select ‘Professional Radio Hosting’ from the ‘Store’ dropdown menu, pick your desired product and then submit a ticket to support that you wish to upgrade to the product you chose. Support will then set up a BoomBox account with the same billing date and cancel your old account for one month in the future. This will give you time to program your playlists and move any files before announcing your new radio to your listeners and terminating your CentovaCast account.
